JUST IN: ARMY BID FAREWELL TO 15 GENERALS

The Nigerian Army has bid farewell to 15 distinguished generals from the Artillery Corps, marking the end of their illustrious careers. These seasoned officers have provided critical firepower support to frontline troops throughout their tenure, playing a vital role in safeguarding the nation.

Retirement Ceremony Details

The formal pull-out ceremony took place on October 19, 2024, at the Nigerian Army School of Artillery in Kachia, Kaduna State. The retirees comprised 11 Major Generals and four Brigadier Generals, who were honored for their decades of dedicated service.

Reflections and Gratitude

Major General James Myam (retd.), speaking on behalf of the retirees, expressed deep fulfillment and gratitude. He attributed their success to divine guidance and acknowledged President Bola Tinubu’s opportunity for them to serve. Myam also thanked the Chief of Army Staff, Lt Gen Taoreed Lagbaja, wishing him continued strength and wisdom in leading the Nigerian Army.
