Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State has confidently asserted his eligibility to run for the presidency in 2027 During a recent visit to Fashola Farm in Oyo town, Makinde shared his thoughts with Guvment News Representative, dismissing rumors about his future political plans as baseless and unwarranted.
Makinde emphasized his independence, stating that he’s mature enough to express himself freely, without hesitation or coercion. He reassured that if he had any announcements regarding his political aspirations, he would openly declare them.
As he put it, “The PDP reporters’ retreat wasn’t organized to fuel speculation about presidential ambitions. I’ll speak up clearly whenever I’m ready to share my plans.” Makinde’s stance underscores his commitment to transparency and self-determination in his political journey.
