A devastating drone attack by Hezbollah killed four Israeli soldiers at a northern base on Sunday, marking the deadliest assault since September 23. The attack occurred at a military training camp in Binyamina, near Haifa, and left over 60 people wounded.
In Gaza, Israeli strikes on a school sheltering displaced individuals resulted in 15 fatalities, including entire families, and four more deaths at a hospital. The violence escalated as Israeli forces clashed with Hezbollah militants in southern Lebanon, with UN peacekeepers caught in the crossfire.
Hezbollah, backed by Iran, launched a squadron of attack drones at the Binyamina camp in retaliation for Israeli airstrikes that killed at least 22 people in central Beirut. The group warned Israel that the consequences of continued aggression would be severe.
Israel’s sophisticated air defenses intercepted most of the projectiles, minimizing casualties. However, Hezbollah’s strikes have reached deeper into Israel since late September.

The conflict intensified with Israeli forces escalating attacks on southern Lebanon, pounding border villages with successive airstrikes. The international community condemned the violence, with UN Secretary-General António Guterres stating that attacks on peacekeepers may constitute a war crime.
As tensions rise, French President Emmanuel Macron urged Iran to support de-escalation in Lebanon and Gaza. Meanwhile, the US plans to send additional air defenses to Israel.
